please can anyone point me in direction whats best buy ?
baxi platinum 40kw or ideal vogue max 40 kw
Can't say much on the duotecs but the new 600 series is really quiet.I don't fit many boilers these days but I was impressed with Viessman. Very good components on the 100 range.
I've installed a lot of duotecs which were bulky and noisy so I wouldnt opt for one.

What’s with the 40kw ? What’s the demand / outlets
What’s with the 40kw ?
14rads, 5beds, bathroom,(bath and shower) ensuite with drench shower. 3.5bar incoming main steady, why wouldnt i go for 40kw, baxi/vogue 10yr warranty
What’s the demand / outlets
3.5 bar on incoming main doesnt dropThe baxi platinum is a great boiler ones I fitted years ago are still like new.
Not a big fan of ideal. Vaillant I had so many problems with the pumps packing up diverter leaking and pressure sensors playing up that I got put off them and tried baxi been with them ever since.
It is each to their own though ask 10 people get all sorts of answers.
What's your flow rate like as a lot of people ask me for a 40kw but they only have the flow rate for a 33kw.
60??????3.5 bar on incoming main doesnt drop
60l/min
Correction. Flow rate 18l/min. 3.5 barHell of a flow cup you got there.
Unfortunately this is down to poor installation and not the reliability of the boiler, vaillant are a cracking boiler when installed correctly.I’ve got a Valliant ecotec plus 831 . Installed 2016. Already needed new diverter valve and water pressure switch. Unfortunately did not have a Magnaclean filter fitted until now (2019)which caused sludge to block up the water pressure switch. As a result constant F75 notification where boiler wold not fire on less than 3 bar. Installed new pressure switch and now firing on 1.2 bar no problem.
Don't you have to jump through hoops to get anything repaired under warranty with ideal?Intergas Eco RF - best technology on the market for a combi. Half the moving components of every other manufacturer on the market. 10 year warranty
Ideal Vogue Max - 12 years. Need I say more?
It has to be fitted as they ask in the instructionsDon't you have to jump through hoops to get anything repaired under warranty with ideal?
