My son has an apprenticeship interview for to become a plumber and heating engineer. The have said there will be a multiple choice exam for this for suitability. The thing is my son panics during tests/exams. Is there any book I can buy him to practice the multiple choice test for the exam? What exactly is in the multiple choice test, we have no idea and just want to give him best chance. Thank you.

Have you tried asking the company as for an apprenticeship tbh there shouldn’t be any hard questions just maybe simple health and safety ones etc

Multiple Choice Test.

Generally a question is asked and there are (say) 4 answers to the question.
You choose which answer you want to answer the question.
- Sometimes there is more than 1 correct answer so you choose all the correct answers.

With some safety questions, one answer will be - All of the above - you choose that one if necessary.

Exam nerves can be helped by repeated exposure to (simulated) exam conditions. Any test will do. E.g. if he likes Star Wars, google 'free multiple choice test star wars' then take it under 'exam conditions' with a clock ticking away. After a dozen or so exercises like this he will have got acclimatised to the 'stress hormones' and instead of panicking will find they actually help focus and performance for the task in hand.

Also, read every question carefully both before and after you think you have found the answer.

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
