Is there anyone who could give me a little advice, I have checked previous items on the forum but it still leaves me scratching my head.

The glow worm has just started sounding like the hull of a submarine being crushed at 20,000 feet (not that I have been in a sub at that depth) the boiler ignites and a few seconds later an almighty clanging noise erupts, followed by the burner going out. I have looked for the bleeder vent to no avail, I had assumed it might be air in the system, but now I am stumped. I have no manuals for this boiler, so any help would be very much appreciated.

Sorry, yes pump working and all appears OK until the clanging starts. It has been running OK until the last few days, today it gave up the ghost. The noise got worse when the central heating was on, as opposed to just water only. I hope this info is of use.

Hi

Did you manage to find out the problem to this?

I have also got the same problem with this boiler. I've been told it may be an air lock within the system. However, even after a power flush, the clanging noise still persists.

Any further feedback or suggestions would be grateful.

Thanks

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
