Hi guys, does anyone out there know how long you have to wait to recieve your certificate for completeing the NVQ 2, cheers.

well their 4 months are up, do i need this cert to enroll on another course,

no, pester the college about your cert's, they proberbly have them laying around somewhere in the office and are not in any hurry to send them. i remember back when i was chacing mine after 4 months, they sent them by the next week.
you dont need any rally, just refer the college phone number and they will verify your grades to employer etc.

cheers redsaw, funny enough i rang them today and sure enough it arrived at their office yesterday and will be dispatched right away. slackers,,

Amazing coincidence arriving yesterday. I always believe these stories!!

I know they are all full of rubbish i was enquiring last year about doing my acs,
i was told all be it i am self employed that there was no reason what so ever why i could not take my NVQ 3 and then the acs assessment, so i made some enquiries and spoke to my old tutor at same particular centre, he then told me, its true but,,,,,, you have to build a portfolio of evidence before taking acs and because i am self employed and not a chance of working with a qualified engineer he would refuse me himself, his advice was very much appreciated and saved me from signing on to something i could not complete, these centres are just after one thing, and its not what us men always think of. (according to my wife, my girlfriend and her sister)Cheers.

i appologise if i offended anyone with my last post by using the word begining in B and ending in T, this word was used as an expression, however it does now make me wander if the censor placed on this is for Others benefit, after all bull is not swearing and as for the second half of the word 2 of the 4 letters were not printed, i know the rules of the forum but have seen worse on here, once again sorry. i think????????

most quals go direct to the candidate as it is their property, most hold ups are by the awarding body, particulalry this time of year processing them all. colleges get blamed for pretty much everything but all they can do is complete paperwork to say youve passed and send it on

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hi they used to say as a last resort you could discharge the D2 pipework at high level and turn it back to the wall. Similar to a combi boiler. I have just looked back through the regs this seems to have changed and it isn't mentioned now. It now mentions if at high level it should be discharged...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

We are from Alberta, and I own an electrical company. I have been asked by a BC Mechanical P. Eng. to install an emergency STOP button at the man-door to the boiler room. It's intent is to 'halt' the operation of the boilers in the room should there be an emergency. He is demanding that I do...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
