Installed base (also install base, install[ed] user base or just user base) is a measure of the number of units of a product or service that are actually in use, as opposed to market share, which only reflects sales over a particular period. Although the install base number is often created using the number of units that have been sold within a particular period, it is not necessarily restricted to just systems, as it can also be products in general. For products which are in use on some machines for many years, the installed base count will be higher than sales over a given period. Some people see it as a more reliable indicator of a platform's usage rate.
Installed base is not the same as the total number of units sold at any given moment in time (***ulative sales numbers), since some of those units will typically be out of use because they have broken, gone missing, or been made obsolete or replaced by newer versions.

I recently had a bathroom refurbished. This included the replacement of a shower cubicle, a Mira concealed shower mixer and a hot & cold water pump. Following this work, there is a fairly dramatic leak into the ceiling void of the room below the bathroom whenever anyone takes a shower.

Hi all
I have installed a new toilet cistern in let valve and it is rubbing against the inside of the cistern and won't fill up. I can't take the cistern apart now because it isn't accessible. Any ideas to help me please?
Thank you
Martyn
I have a Charnwood LA50 inset multifuel burner that has been installed for a year or two now.
The problem we have is concerning the pump and a pipe thermostat which i believe is to ensure the water doesn't over heat and to force the pump to run to dissipate excess heat via the radiators.

We recently installed some underfloor heating for a customer. I've not done it before so enlisted some help of another plumber friend of mine.
Problem. Heating only = fine.
CH and ufh= fine
Ufh only = brings ch on too and can't be switched off on the room stat and rads get extremely hot.

Hi Guys - first post in desperation!
We recently had a complete oil CH system installed (including tank) by an OFTEC-registered guy (a one-man limited co. business). The system works well, and looks (to me!) to have been installed quite competently.
Unfortunately, he was due to return to...
Had a new Worcester Bosch 38 CDi fitted today. The installer ran the boiler through it's start up process and ran the boiler at a temperature of 90 degrees for nearly an hour. I was a bit shocked at this and was expecting the central heating system to blow up at any moment as we would normally...

I hope someone can answer a question for me, I had a new combi boiler installation today, straight swap for the old one, the guy did a flush of the system using fernox 3 then added fernox f1. This is all from the info I have taken from the installation log. My question is he did it all in 3hrs...

I've installed nuheat underfloor through my house. It doesn't seem great in that you can feel were the pipes are so you get hot and cold lines across the floor surface. That said I haven't had it on for more than about 8 hours but I would have thought this would be enough to warm the whole...
I just bought several vertical column hudson reed rads to install in new hot water heating system. I notice that when I screw the vales to the two lower rad ports that I can look straight thru to the other port. I expected there to be a baffle of sorts directing hot water up thru the crumbs and...

Hello,
I'm having a 'little' dispute with my builder, mainly over his project management. I think his bizarre scheduling has meant we paid way over the odds for plumbing services - and ended up with something a bit rubbish.
We've had a ground-floor extension built so the back room is now three...

Hello, I'm a complete beginner when it comes to central heating and after reading the various instructions (which I'm pretty sure I've followed correctly) I can't seem to get the radiators to stop turning on.
I have a Danfoss TP9000MA-si installed next to a Logic heat 15 boiler. The water...

Hi,
I need bit of an advice about finding the filling loop in my heating system. Apologies for long description but thought to cover as much so relevant solutions can be suggested. I have spent endless hours searching internet including this forum and everywhere it is mentioned there must be...
Wondering which is best to go for here. Everything I read, they seem about even.
Vaillant Ecotec I'm told has a stainless heat exchanger and Worcester have far superior customer service.
Any advice on these two? :dead:
I can get the Vaillant for about £75 less than the Worcester.
Just starting to have the trickle of plumbers round doing quotes for boilers and, as I suspected and hoped WOULDN'T happen, they're giving me different bits of advice on what I 'have' to have, along the lines of the 'I shouldn't install it without x/y/z'.
I've currently got a 14 year old...

Hi Guys,
Just looking for some info.
I installed an outdoor garden tap recently. I turned it on today and the water seemed to come out with a yellowish colour but only for a second or two then normal.
I used copper pipe for the installation. Was under the impression that copper does not rust...
