I've been to quote for a job of replacing an oil boiler but before I submit the final quote I'm just wondering about the flue.
It's a vertical flue going through a shallow roof void, exiting under the eaves for another part of the same building, and redirecting around the guttering by virtue of 2 x 45 bends.
This in itself isn't really a problem as I see it but the flue is definitely unstable in high winds and I wondered if, to reduce any problems whereby the flue might get blown off the vertical, I could use a plume redirection kit as the flue exits the roof tiles?
Something like the right hand one in this image that I've nicked from the Grant website. This might, just might, clear the guttering with enough clearance.
