HI all
Was after some advice on warranty's. I had a boiler fitted under a government scheme, underfloor insulation and new boiler. I was told the boiler only came with a 2 year warranty. I was advised I could extend the warranty to 7 years at extra cost, I was told it was an extended manufacture's warranty as I wound not have a 3rd party warranty ( incase they go bust) and they assured me it was manufacturers warranty .The boiler in question is a logic combi ESPI 30. I took another 5 years out with them and again was assured it was manufactures warranty . I received an email from the company which is below.

This is to confirm you have a 7 Years Manufacturer’s Warranty all paid for, any issues please do not hesitate to contact the office and we shall contact the

Manufacturers for you and arrange a call out.

I emailed ideal 2 months later and got this from them

The boiler has been registered by your contractor and has a two year warranty.

We would suggest you speak to whoever you paid the additional money to for clarification.

I have emailed them back a couple of times but no response what so ever.

Any advice would be appreciated
Cheers Bally

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

We are from Alberta, and I own an electrical company. I have been asked by a BC Mechanical P. Eng. to install an emergency STOP button at the man-door to the boiler room. It's intent is to 'halt' the operation of the boilers in the room should there be an emergency. He is demanding that I do...

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
