Just had an invite to join the CIPHE. Are there any benefits to joining?? Besides a flash membership card I can not see any real advantages.

cheaper insurance offers, legal back etc etc, am trying it out via the plumfix offer where you get your fee back in vouchers from plumfix, cannt fail really this year.

The membership card isn't that flash! I've been a member for more years than I can remember and the only advantage could be that I have a sign on my van and letterheads that the public may or may not recognise, I think I ought to sort out some of these things I pay for and cancel them as they soon mount up. Its a bit like sorting out your garage, If you leave it you end up with things you don't need and will never use.
Regards. Richard

Hi Richard

Sorry to hear you are not happy with CIPHE membership. We have been working hard on things like an offer from a major utility companies to pay your subs, merchants who will give you discount vouchers to use them, promotion to the public by water companies, cheaper insurance, increased guarantee periods for products installed by CIPHE members, special rates on van hire when yours breaks down, reduced or free training by manufacturers, up to date technical information on the web in the members area, a magazine with all the latest information and advanced notice of special deals, plus many other things. If there are other things that you would like us to negotiate please drop me an email and let me know (by the way we have redesigned the membership card to) J
