Got an e-mail from checkatrade today,There going to be getting a grilling on watchdog tonight for customer complaints. How ironic.

Ive just set it aswell , back of midnight its on ,

they didnt really get a grilling, just cant leave negative reviews!!! Im signing up, lol

3 aired compaints from 16,000 companies. If each has completed an average of 50 jobs that's 1 aired complaint in 266,667 completed jobs. A complete non-story imo.

Checkatrade have been doing that for years, I have come across numerous customers who say this, threaten bad reviews and get money knocked off the bill to keep quiet.

These were all genuine customers not Proffessional moaners/ scum

Watchdog as usual went for the sensational story and skirted the facts.

Notice they never ran a story a couple of years ago when one of their staff got locked up for benefit fraud

It"s all kicking off on the c/trade forum. There all moaning that the MD should of gone on w/dog & defended c/trade.

I have a plumber coming tomorrow to change a cartridge on a badly dripping tap on my bathroom mixer unit. There is no separate isolating valve for this tap so I'll have to close the stopcock. I tried closing it today but it won't go absolutely 100% closed and there is still a very slight flow...
