as above, anyone seen one before?.

must admit its the first time i have come across one myself.

it was 4' x 2' rectangle, with rivets holding it together looked like a victorian time capsule but in a 50-70 year old house???
fitted the cupboard nice though.

are you sure its copper I have seen similar just never thought it was copper with huge rivets on it with an immersion in it if memory serves me right

yeh, defo copper. it did have an emersion on it about 1/2 way up.

hope i get the boiler to combi swap in soon. be a nice chrimbo bonus with the 28mm pipes.lol.

Copper cylinders were rivited up until around the early 60's. Made in many shapes and sizes. Nice bonus for the scrap value.

We took a rectangular elsan out yesterday . Not riveted though so a bit more modern , but nice an heavy:)
