Sewerage Smell

We have been experiencing a very unpleasant sewerage smell in our house. The smell comes from the kitchen downstairs and the bathroom upstairs (above the kitchen). The smell is not there all the time, it can occur when the toilet has been flushed, and it sometime happens when the bath is being run. The stench pipe is located in the main bathroom which is sealed off with a filter/valve on the end, this appears to be ok. We have cleaned the drains but this hasn't resolved the issue. Any advice would be much appreciated.

youll have to wait 4 weeks or until england admits defeat to find a plumber. otherwise you could have a faulty aav (air admitance valve). if your house is new you may have to ensure the soil pipe system is up to standard and installed correctly, if this is new in an older house change the aav first.
