Hi guys I do not do bathrooms at all but have been persuaded to replace my brothers basin and WC pan. He is quite specific in what he wants and is obviously not wanting any cheap pottery.

Where do you guys buy your stuff from and is it any good ?

Thanks in advance as always

to be honest, i am a bit of a fan of the wickes 'ready to go' £50 c/c pan.
good fittings and well made.
the only negative is the pan spigot is a little short.

not had one un happy customer yet.

I did mention he was specific in what he wanted. bog to go is not not what I he had in mind.
price is not the issue its what the cranky old sod wants which is where I am stalled as I do not install or buy this stuff regular if ever in the past ten years

do what I often do, if the customer starts getting all cranky about this brand or that, or this style and that then I tell them that the best thing to do is to go out and source and perchase it them self, which means they can't complain about the style or the price.
I get my stuff from my merchants, but I only specify basic white suites, anything poss you can sort it out!!

Hope this helps!

Get him to look at Sottini.

Prob best to get him to choose what he's after but double check it before he orders in case it gets something that won't fit!

Ideal Standard is a reasonable compromise but I often do what ADM360 has suggested - get the customer to buy their own stuff and leave me to buy the parts that aren't seen.

I would love to tell the customer to get the stuff they want but its my bother and he has asked me to get him what he wants but, because I do not do bathrooms regular if at all, I am asking you chaps where to get decent pottery from

Has he given you any idea what he wants? or just said I want good quality and not cheap! sure if you have a chat with you local merchant they will steer you in the right direction, but there are a lot of stuff out there!
