Hi,

please could somebody offer some advice. I’ve just tried to re-pressurise our hot water as a plumber told me to do a couple of years ago.

I couldn’t understand why it wasn’t working and realised I was stupidly turning the wrong valve. Instead of the one that I should have turned, I did one below what I think is the pump. I now don’t know if this valve should be open or closed. Please can someone let me know.

when I did turn the right valve, the pressure shot up suddenly when what sounded like a lot of air went through the pipes. The plumber always told me to set it to the red needle just below 2and instead it shot up to 2.5. Will this be ok.

Pictures attached of wrong valve I turned and pressure gauge.

thanks for helping

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
