My partner and I live in a 2 bedroom flat, the water and heating controlled by a Heatrae Sadia Electromax combined electric flow boiler and direct unvented water heater. We turn the tv and all other electrical items off during the daytime, likewise the boiler water and heating is turned off during daytime hours.
we have just received our 1st quarterly bill - £850!
This heater/boiler is on economy 10. Could the internal settings of the boiler be faulty? Could it be heating the water outside the economy 10 times? All I know is that this is a ridiculously high bill, and all we ever have is showers!

Any advice great fully accepted, as I sit here in the dark with the heating and water all off!

Thank,

Big leccy Bill

they are expensive to run, try and only have it on in "off-peak" times when your rates are cheaper

Maybe inquire about gong on an 'economy 10' tariff you would then get an off peak boost in the afternoon.
