I have been trying to fit a Vellamo touch tap but can't get water flow through, I can hear the tap clicking but nothing happens.

I've removed the URGENT prefix, this should be reserved for actual plumbing emergencies rather than cosmetic changes in bathrooms. :)

Firstly check the water supplies are turned on and you have adequate pressure ?
ensure the flexi connectors are not twisted , the click you hear will be a solenoid opening to allow the water through .

We have fitted the vellum touch tap today, the touch only works if you touch the battery box not the tap, with the battery disconnected the tap works normally. Can the controller be fitted the wrong way round the fittings each end seem to be different, and one flexible cable is already part of the tap.

As to flow the literature does not ask for 1.5 bar but it says minimum .5 bar , no max. Pressure can be an issue tho', and earthing if the fixing plate underneath touches a metal sink, regardless of worktop it is always worth fitting a rubbers seal as sometimes leaks/ damp from above can get thro to the underside.

We have a different problem that the flow works if you touch the battery box but not if you touch the tap can the controller be fitted the wrong way around ?

Our kitchen mixer tap has started dripping. Like so much of the plumbing in our almost new build bungalow, it is lacking! The plumber didn't install any isolating cocks in the H&C feed to the tap so how can I identify which of the valves is passing? Shut the whole H&C water system down?

I have a plumber coming tomorrow to change a cartridge on a badly dripping tap on my bathroom mixer unit. There is no separate isolating valve for this tap so I'll have to close the stopcock. I tried closing it today but it won't go absolutely 100% closed and there is still a very slight flow...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

I have attached an image of the brass body within a tap. Having replaced a cartridge which has cured a leaking tap, I can see that there is a small leak from the brass body which can be unscrewed. Is there a seal behind the body? Thanks.
