Can someone identify this tap please ?

I have a leaking valve on the mixer tap on my boat. So I know that I have to empty the water tank on the boat, which is just a case or running the tap for an hour until it runs out and makiing sure we are not on shore power so the calorifier is not heating water while I do it.

I fitted the tap myself 4 years ago, and I did not bother with such luxuries - 'tis only a 35 year old boat !

Water tanks are lower than taps on a boat jon

Welcome from a fellow boat owner (older than yours as well ), if you isolate the power to the water pump that should stop the water flowing from the tap Jamie.

If I had known in advance the tap would fail 4 years later, perhaps I might have done different. but it was the original tap that I re-fitted, so perhaps it is entitled to fail. It is still easy enough to drain the tank.

It looks like a fairly standard older style tap with washers.
It won't be Quarter turn discs, just buy a pack of 1/2" tap washers and change both not just the leaking one.

Good point - that is just a switch on the power panel - all my problems solved - Thanks for that my problem solved immediately. Your forum worked - an answer in a day. Next question do I just unscrew the cap below the tap turning handle and above he heat colour bands ? There is no grubscrew ?

Yes I managed to undo it with a Vise Grip over a cloth !
Many thanks for all your advice - I know know what to do when I get some new washers !
