Can any of you fine folks tell me which Baxi/Potterton/Main boiler would be a straight swap out for a 28Kw Duo Tec 2 GA Combi please. I dont do many boiler changes but have been co-erced into doing this one. If I can get a boiler that would fit in its place without altering any pipework would make the job easier and quicker. Thank you. G.

There isn’t a straight swap with out altering for the ga range, it was very problematic anyway and got discontinued.
Best bet like kop says is to go for a new 600 series, it will definitely need pipework alteration, tbh there you’re kidding yourself if you’re looking for a straight easy swap these days, long gone are the days when you could chuck them on the wall in a morning and take your cash and run away. (Erm not that I ever did this BTW)
Boiler need a little care and attention, mag filters, water softeners, those little anti water hammer devices (I always forget what they’re called 🤪) boiler+ controls, setting up gas valves, cold flushing and hot flushing, and other bits I’ll remeber later.... paperwork, registering with gas safe, registering for warranty to give your customer piece of mind, little stickers on the front to remind them when the service is due.

All goes to making a good business model for yourself.
Good luck, let us know how you get on.

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

I want to reconnect some outbuildings to an existing water supply. The supply pipe is old 22mm MDPE and buried for a fair distance so not going to dig it up and replace it 😬. Question is can I use normal 22mm plumbing push-fit connectors to make the connection as finding 22mm MDPE fittings...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
