readings
Reading is the process of taking in the sense or meaning of letters, symbols, etc., especially by sight or touch. For educators and researchers, reading is a multifaceted process involving such areas as word recognition, orthography (spelling), alphabetics, phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, and motivation.Other types of reading and writing, such as pictograms (e.g., a hazard symbol and an emoji), are not based on speech-based writing systems. The common link is the interpretation of symbols to extract the meaning from the visual notations or tactile signals (as in the case of Braille).
Good day
My question is concenrning a system where the main water meter is on a 22mm water line, this line is then split to 15mm lines.
Will the 22mm line water meter have a larger reading over the 15mm line water meter?

Hi,
I am just about to move into a new build property.
I took the water meter readings and they read 000000,620 I had a look around the property like you do and used the toilet.
When I flushed it the water kept trickling into the toilet and not into the cistern.
The cistern is built...
We just moved to a house with very old boiler ideal ff240, next to the boiler there is a red cylinder , I assuming it shows boiler pressure. Not sure how to read it as there are 2 needles , red and black. Could anyone help please, is this right pressure? The heating and hot water works but the...
I require to change a slow leaking TRV on the lounge radiator and have a replacement available but I am slightly mystified by the boiler readings etc.
The model is a Worcester Bosch 8000 Lifestyle 30kW. Pressing the electronic keys on the front panel shows digital readings of the prevailing...
Unable to adjust co2 readings on a a vaillant ecotec boiler it’s an lpg model I’m currently getting 0.0004 ratio, can’t get a higher co2 percentage than 8.6% (minimum being 9.7 without cover) and the ppm is around 40
Have tried new gas valve new Venturi and new pcb. I’ve cleaned burner and...
I serviced a Potterton Suprima 50HE today, full clean of burner etc, put back together, burner pressure correct at 9mb, gas rate correct at 15kw, analyser readings way out though, no suggestion in mfi of correct ratio etc, anyone had this before. I was once told by Vaillant that some of their...
Hi guys. Today I’ve noticed when taking an fga the flue temp is coming up as a minus even though the boiler had been running all day. Any particular reason that it would be like that?
Also had a +6.50mb on a fan pressure test. Boiler was only one year old.
Hi, just spend ages cleaning the plate on this bag of Rubbish, serviced it and the emissions where thru the roof, cleaned make heat ex but still very very high. Tried adjusting the air Gas ratio as per MIs but not joy .
Any one else had this and managed to sort.
Cheers .
routine service today on a ecotec pro 28 approx 8 years old. Basically the boiler would only stay fired up for about 45secs before cycling on and off on max rate. This wasnt long enough for me to get an accurated fga reading.
Gas rate and pressure was good. Am i right in saying could...
Hi does anyone know what the readings dc for the gas valve are, I have an electronic ignition. The pilot lights but continually clicks and doesn't come on for main flame. Not very helpful at baxi, the person I spoke to seemed to think there was a button near the circuit board. Wrong boiler. He...
Good morning all, Did a CP12 yesterday and got 26 mbar Standing & 21 mbar working pressures at the meter so all good, but then found 22 mbar on the cooker burner and also 22 mbar at the inlet of the boiler??? Never come across a higher pressure at the appliance than at the meter before...
Hi
Just come away from a 22 year old Boulter oil boiler.
Carried out a service, the exchange and baffles were in quite a state. Cleaned it all up, then the burner, changed the burner nossel ect.
Pump pressure was at 8.5 bar and air setting was 3, MI's state 8 bar and 5.1 air set. Done a smoke...
Hi all,
Could I check I correctly understand fga readings taken off an old Microgenus combi.
The ratio is great (0.0003%). CO2 is only 3.4% (should be 7.62), O2 is 15% (should be closer to 7%, according to the boiler manual). CO was 33ppm.
The ratio passes the gas safe requirements.
However, the...
Hi, we had a new boiler installed about 18 months ago, since then we have had to call a gas registered plumber out to help with some central heating issues. During this time he did a gas test involving all our gas appliances which resulted in him saying that there wasn't enough gas getting to...
Hi all, what is the importance of the co2 reading? If the gas working / burner pressure and gas ratio and carbon monoxide figures are good according to MI.
If the co2 is out by 10 or 20% is this a performance issue or damaging to boiler or something else.
Saw on eBay Tds meters are going cheap on eBay, purchased one to look clever on jobs & out of interest as I like to see how clean my systems are eg after power flushing!
just had a quick play around, my mains water was about 165ppm bottled water from the Scottish highlands 135 ppm & water from...
Out of curiosity, what the norm for lpg analyser reading on a new boiler. Commissioned my first lpg new install on a heat line combi (not my choice) and once I converted it and took the readings, everything seems high but the co2% is spot on.
381ppm, 0.0037ratio
Now I thort maybe there's a...
Had my boiler serviced but the plumber says the readings are dangerous and recommends I fit a new boiler

Hi all. I've done a few boiler services lately and just wondered if I'm being shown properly. We do all the gas rating and clean out the casing and the condense trap. We visually check for defects. The boilers are only a year old but just wondered if there's more to it?
Is there a punishment for an engineer using an analyser that hasn't been calibrated for a few years?? Also what does ppm stand for when relating to CO in the air??
